Heartfelt Condolences for CT State Representative Kevin Ryan

Honoring a Life of Service and Dedication

With heavy hearts, we share the sad news of the passing of Connecticut State Representative Kevin Ryan, a respected public servant whose death leaves a profound void in the lives of his family, colleagues, and the community he served so faithfully.

For more than 30 years, Representative Ryan dedicated himself to Southeastern Connecticut, serving diligently in the House of Representatives. His presence was constant, his commitment unwavering, and his leadership deeply respected by all who had the privilege of working alongside him. His work was not only about legislation but about people—listening, guiding, and ensuring that the voices of his constituents were heard. Before joining the Legislature, I had the honor of serving as his Constituent Engagement Coordinator in the Connecticut House Democratic Caucus. It was truly the honor of a lifetime to learn from a man of such wisdom and integrity. I will never forget the night of my election, when he came by to offer support and congratulations. The room erupted in cheers as he entered, a testament to the respect and admiration he commanded.

Representative Ryan will be remembered not only for his public service but also for his personal qualities—his wisdom, his notoriously dry sense of humor, and the thoughtful conversations we shared on Session Days. He was a mentor, a colleague, and a friend whose lessons and laughter will remain with us always.

We extend our deepest condolences to his loved ones. May they find comfort in cherished memories and strength in knowing that his legacy of service and kindness will continue to inspire.

Rest in peace, Representative Kevin Ryan. Your life of dedication will never be forgotten.

Kevin’s Youth Obituary Death: L.O.V. Thrift Store Commuinity Mourns Loss

In Loving Memory of Kevin’s Youth

    Sunrise: 1970 — Sunset: November 24, 2025

With heavy hearts, and more than a few chuckles, we announce the passing of Kevin’s youth, which officially departed this world today as Kevin celebrated his 55th birthday. Though his youth lived a bold, fearless, and unstoppable life, it succumbed to the realities of middle age somewhere between a pulled back muscle and the realization that bedtime now firmly arrives at 10 p.m.

Kevin’s youth was born strong and adventurous, thriving through decades of energy, resilience, and Marine discipline. It carried him through challenges, victories, and countless memories. Yet, like all things, it eventually met its end—claimed by the everyday battles of standing up too quickly, bending over without recovery, insisting “I don’t need help” while clearly needing it, and the fateful day Kevin believed he could still do what he did at 25. Survived by a rapidly expanding collection of reading glasses, a nightly relationship with ibuprofen, and selective hearing (especially when his loved ones speak), Kevin’s youth leaves behind a legacy of laughter, resilience, and unforgettable moments. Though gone, it will forever be remembered in the noises Kevin now makes when rising from a chair—sounds lovingly compared to a walrus giving birth.

Services will be held at Kevin’s recliner immediately following his afternoon nap. Casual attire is required, as his suits no longer fit. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations of Bengay, memory foam seat cushions, and Geritol to ease the transition into this new chapter of life. While Kevin’s youth has passed, Kevin himself remains a Marine veteran, a man of strength, humor, and love. His journey continues with wisdom, resilience, and the unwavering support of those who cherish him. Today, we celebrate not only the life of his youth but also the enduring spirit of the man who survived the Marines, even if his youth did not.

We extend our heartfelt condolences—and playful roasts—to Kevin during this difficult yet joyous milestone. May he find comfort in knowing that while his youth has departed, his legacy of laughter, love, and resilience lives on.

    RIP Kevin’s Youth (1970–2025)
A fearless spirit, gone too soon, but forever remembered with love and laughter.
