    With a heavy heart, I share this message. It is with the utmost sadness that we announce the death of Traci Loring Timmerman, age 55, of West Des Moines, who passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington. Her passing has left her family, friends, and community deeply saddened, as they mourn the loss of a woman remembered for her vibrant spirit, her love of music, and her devotion to those she cherished.

    Born on October 11, 1970, in Burlington, Traci was the beloved daughter of Edward Charles and Diane Slocum Timmerman. She graduated from Burlington High School in 1989, continued her education at SCC in 1997, and later earned her degree from AIB in Des Moines in 1999. Her commitment to learning reflected her determination and resilience, qualities that defined her throughout her life. Traci was a passionate fan of 80’s rock and roll, with a special love for the band Kiss. She found joy in attending concerts, where music became not only entertainment but also a source of inspiration and connection. Beyond her love of music, Traci adored her cats, Phoebe and Daisy, who brought her comfort and companionship.

    She is survived by her mother, Diane Timmerman of Burlington, her very special aunt, Becky Galloway, and many friends who were like sisters to her. She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Timmerman, whose memory she carried with her always.

    Visitation will be held on Friday, November 28, 2025, from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM, with the family receiving friends from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Prugh Funeral Service, 3940 Division Street. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice and the ALS Association, honoring Traci’s compassionate spirit and her desire to support meaningful causes.

    We extend our deepest condolences to her family and loved ones. May they find comfort in cherished memories and strength in knowing that Traci’s legacy of love, music, and kindness will live on forever.

    A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1655 S Del Sol Ave, Sierra Vista, AZ 85635. Family, friends, and community members are invited to gather in remembrance of Tamara’s extraordinary life and to celebrate the faith and love that defined her journey.
