With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Mrs. Lula Kinchen, age 88, of Hammond, Louisiana, who tragically lost her life in a fatal crash on I-55 near the Manchac Bridge on Saturday, November 22, 2025. The multi-vehicle accident claimed two lives, including Mrs. Kinchen, leaving her family, friends, and community in deep mourning.

Born and raised in Louisiana, Lula lived a long and meaningful life, marked by love, resilience, and devotion to her family. She was a woman of quiet strength and enduring kindness, whose presence brought comfort and joy to those around her. Her passing is not only a loss to her loved ones but also to the Hammond community, where she was cherished for her warmth and generosity.On the night of the crash, Lula was a passenger in a Nissan Maxima that became involved in the tragic chain of events. Despite the efforts of first responders, she succumbed to her injuries at a local hospital. The suddenness of her death has left her family heartbroken, yet they take solace in the many years of memories and love she shared with them.

Lula’s life was defined not by tragedy but by the legacy she leaves behind. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, remembered for her gentle spirit, her faith, and her unwavering commitment to those she loved. Her family recalls her as someone who always put others first, offering wisdom, encouragement, and compassion in every circumstance. Though her earthly journey has ended, Lula’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her passing is a reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of cherishing each moment with loved ones.

With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Mrs. Ann Marie Wallin, a beloved member of the GCC community and a gifted raku artist, who died peacefully on the evening of Monday, November 17, 2025, after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Her death, following nearly four years of intensive chemotherapy, has left her family, friends, and the arts community mourning the loss of a remarkable woman whose creativity and kindness touched countless lives.

Ann’s artistry was her gift to the world. Known for her talent in raku pottery, she brought beauty, imagination, and soul into every piece she created. Her work reflected not only her technical skill but also her spirit—resilient, expressive, and deeply human. She was admired by fellow artists and cherished by those fortunate enough to experience her creations.Beyond her art, Ann was a devoted wife, friend, and community member. Her husband, Steve, shared the heartbreaking news of her passing, expressing gratitude for the love and support shown during her illness. Ann’s strength and grace throughout her journey were a testament to her character, inspiring those around her to face challenges with courage and dignity.

In lieu of a formal funeral, an informal gathering of family and friends will be held to honor Ann’s life and memory. The gathering is scheduled for Friday, November 28, 2025, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Lakeside Funeral Home, 121 Claremore Drive, Woodstock, GA 30188. This gathering reflects Ann’s spirit—warm, inclusive, and centered on connection.

The family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to cancer research, in the hope that future generations may be spared the pain of this terrible disease. Ann’s passing is a profound loss, not only to her family but to the wider pottery and arts community, where she had many far-flung friends and associates. Her legacy will live on in the art she created, the friendships she nurtured, and the love she shared.

With heavy hearts, Angie Heitzer and family announce the passing of their beloved mother-by-choice, Mrs. Jean Krueger Lauderdale, who died peacefully after a courageous battle with Atypical Parkinson’s Dementia (Corticobasal Degeneration). Jean’s death leaves a profound void in the lives of those who cherished her, yet her legacy of love, grace, and devotion will endure forever.

Jean was born and raised in River Edge, New Jersey, where she attended River Dell Regional High School. She later pursued higher education at Alfred University, studying Ceramic Engineering, a reflection of her curiosity and determination. Her professional career included serving as a Business Analyst at ING Group, where she was admired for her intelligence, diligence, and ability to bring clarity and care to her work. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Jean’s life was defined by her relationships and her unwavering kindness. She lived in Suwanee, Georgia, alongside her devoted husband, Stanley Green, with whom she shared a partnership built on love, respect, and faith. For nearly 40 years, Jean chose her family daily, embracing Angie Heitzer and loved ones as her own children and grandchildren. Her commitment to family was her greatest gift, and her unconditional love became the foundation upon which generations will continue to stand.

Jean was a woman of style, patience, and grace. She carried herself with quiet strength and a gentle spirit, always offering compassion and understanding to those around her. Her presence was a source of comfort, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her. A memorial service will be held the weekend after Thanksgiving, with details forthcoming. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Peachtree Christian Health, in Jean’s name, to honor the care and support they provided during her illness.

Jean’s death is a heartbreaking loss, but her life remains a testament to love, resilience, and faith. She will be remembered not only for the roles she held but for the countless ways she touched lives with her kindness and devotion.
