In Loving Memory of Daniel Earle
Novar Gardens, South Australia — November 2025
It is with heavy hearts and the greatest of sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Daniel Earle, a much-loved member of the Novar Gardens community, who died in late November 2025. His death has left family, friends, and neighbors in profound grief, as they mourn the loss of a man remembered for his warmth, humor, and unwavering loyalty.
Daniel was best known as a passionate Carlton supporter and a recognizable voice in Adelaide’s sporting circles, particularly through his regular contributions to the FIVEaa sports program. His enthusiasm for the game and his ability to connect with others made him a cherished figure in the community. He was not only a fan but also a friend to many, bringing joy and laughter to those who shared his love of sport. Despite facing numerous health challenges, including diabetes-related complications, vision impairment, and later the amputation of his leg, Daniel remained an optimistic and engaging presence. He was also an organ recipient, a testament to his resilience and courage in the face of adversity. Through it all, he never lost his sense of humor or his ability to uplift those around him.
Daniel’s friendships were built on kindness and sincerity. Many recall his thoughtful gestures, such as gifting guide dog plush toys when children were born, or his cheerful calls both on and off air to talk about Carlton and community life. His positivity was infectious, and his laughter left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Beyond sport, Daniel was a strong advocate for safer housing and improved security in Novar Gardens, always working to ensure his neighborhood was a better place for all. He was not only a dedicated community voice but also a wonderful neighbor and true friend.
Our deepest condolences are extended to Daniel’s family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of kindness, resilience, and community spirit will live on in the hearts of many.
