Despite the swift response of emergency services, Kylan’s injuries proved fatal, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

With heavy hearts and the greatest of sadness, we announce the passing of Mr. Darren Lucas, age 59, of Beach Park, Illinois. Darren tragically died on Monday, November 24, 2025, after being struck by a vehicle in Zion. The accident occurred just before 6 p.m. at the intersection of 33rd Street and Sheridan Road. Despite the swift response of first responders, Darren was later pronounced dead at Vista Medical Center East. Preliminary autopsy results confirmed that he died from blunt force injuries sustained in the crash.

The driver involved in the accident has been identified as a TikTok content creator known online as “Tea Tyme.” According to reports, she was livestreaming at the time of the collision. Viewers allegedly heard a loud thud, followed by a concerned child’s voice in the background, as the driver repeated distressed words and admitted, “I hit someone.” This tragic circumstance has added to the heartbreak surrounding Darren’s passing, leaving the community grappling with grief and shock.
